Ayris represents a dynamic hybrid of skills having served in the public, private and nonprofit sectors. In January of 2018, Ayris was appointed by Mayor Muriel Bowser to serve as the Executive Director of the Office of Partnerships and Grant Services. A true believer in the power of the collective, she has raised nearly 40M to advance education, community development, and women’s rights.

Nakia works as a technology professional for the U.S. Federal Government. Nakia's experience as an entrepreneur, public relations professional, and technologist uniquely positions her to change the way the world does business by serving as a technical and marketing consultant to a wide range of clients. Her passionate is homelessness prevention and advocacy for Black women and girls.

We strive to create a world where socioeconomic inequality does not exist for Black women and girls.
